General Requirements (See additional requirements by discipline, below.) - Staffing Service employees must work a minimum of 24 hours in a four-week schedule
- All positions are considered on-call. On-call employees do not receive the traditional benefits package but are included in Bronson's many events and are eligible for Bronson's Gainshare Bonus program.
- Weekend and holiday requirements vary by discipline
- Pay for the required orientation period is pro-rated
- Bronson Staffing Service employees cannot also be employees of either Bronson Methodist Hospital or Bronson Vicksburg Hospital
Requirements for Registered Nurses - Must have a minimum of one year of current acute care experience in each unit of competency
- Must demonstrate competency in two units
- Holidays and weekends may be optional in some positions
- Incentives are paid for critical care coverage
- Eight- or 12-hour shifts are available
Requirements for Hybrid Emergency Department Registered Nurses - Must have a minimum of one year of current acute care experience
- Must be competent in all areas of the Trauma & Emergency Center
- Must work 72 hours in a four-week schedule
- Must work every third weekend
- One summer holiday and one winter holiday are required
- 12-hour shifts are required
Requirements for Pharmacists - Must have a minimum of one year of acute experience or two years of retail experience
- Must demonstrate competency in two of the five clinical areas
- Must work one eight-hour weekend shift per month
- Holidays are optional
- Four-, eight-, 10- and 12-hour shifts are available
Requirements for Radiologic Professionals (Radiologic Technologists, CT Technologists, MRI Technologists, Cath Lab Radiologic Technologists, Ultrasound Technologists, Nuclear Medicine Technologists) - Must be ARRT and BLS certified; ACLS certification is required for work in Cath Lab
- Must have a minimum of two years of experience
- Must have had a strong clinical practicum recently in acute care-either in trauma or fluoroscopy
- Must work one eight-hour weekend shift per month
- Holidays are optional
- Four-, eight-, 10- and 12-hour shifts are available
Requirements for Respiratory Therapists - Must be RRT or RRT-eligible
- Must have at least one year of experience in either adult ICU or PICU/NICU
- Must work at least 12 hours per month on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday
- One summer holiday and one winter holiday are required
- Primarily 12-hour shifts are available
Requirements for Physical Therapists - Must have acute care experience or have completed a strong clinical practicum in acute care as either a student or a therapist
- Must demonstrate competency in three clinical areas
- Must be available to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month as needed, with evening availability for the Bronson Lifestyle Improvement & Research Center (LIRC) as needed
- Holidays are optional
- Four-, eight-, 10- and 12-hour shifts are available
