Pharmacy Residency -- Qualifications and Application Information

Qualifications:
Candidates must graduate from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program with a doctor of pharmacy degree (or equivalent combination of education and clinical experience).  Applicants must be eligible for Michigan licensure and are expected to obtain licensure as a pharmacist in Michigan within the first 60 days of the residency year.

Required Application Materials:

  • Completed online application
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Letter of intent
  • College of pharmacy school transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Participate in the ASHP Residency Matching Program

All application materials must be received by January 7th for the applicant to be considered for an onsite interview.  Onsite interviews are required for consideration for acceptance to the program.  The residency program director will contact candidates to schedule onsite interviews.  It is preferred that letters of recommendation are free-form, written letters, although the ASHP Resident Recommendation Form will be accepted as a letter of recommendation.
