Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) has been taught at Bronson Methodist Hospital since 1971. Our program is accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) and recognized by the Department of Education. It is currently the only program in west Michigan to offer Level I, Level II and Supervisory CPE.

The CPE program is an integral part of the Department of Pastoral Care and Education. CPE residents and interns will be able to work in a clinical environment of a teaching hospital that is familiar with and accepting of students.

Bronson’s CPE program values diversity. The more we are diverse the more we have to learn from one another. We seek students who can be "living human documents" to one another. To that end, we seek students with diversity in race, gender, age, faith group, national origin and sexual orientation.
