Bronson LakeView Neurobehavioral Health is an inpatient treatment and assessment program for older adults, age 65 years or older. Our trained professionals treat anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts in addition to wakefulness, agitation, wandering and memory impairements associated with dementia. Patients benefit from group and individual therapy as well as daily visits and careful monitoring by a board-certified psychiatrist. The program includes:
A multi-disciplinary approach with physicians, nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists and other specialists as needed
Individual treatment plans
Family and caregiver involvement
Patient and caregiver education
After-care resource referrals
Services The program assists older adults and their families to address a variety of mental health concerns associated with:
Depression
Anxiety and panic attacks
Problems caused by severe grief or trauma
Chronic mental illness
Emotional and behavioral problems associated with forms of dementia such as Alzheimer's disease
As part of treatment, we assess:
Medications
Nutrition and sleep patterns
Physical mobility
Medical status
Discharge planning, including 24-hour care needs
Our Team Our experienced staff of internists, nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists and social workers helps to determine what services will best serve each patient and their family. With our focus on the patient, we use a team approach that involves the family throughout the course of treatment.
