Each year children from a nine-county area in southwest Michigan receive treatment and care at Bronson. In fact, Bronson is the only hospital that provides pediatric inpatient services in the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek areas. Transport services for patients referred to Bronson from 19 regional hospitals and other institutions are conducted by ambulance under the supervision of a specially trained transport nurse.
The Bronson Children's Hospital is the only hospital in southwest Michigan that is a member of the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI).
We've built a child-friendly environment just for children. Murals with an "Explore Michigan" theme cover the walls. Each nurse's station is built at a child's eye level, helping create a child-friendly atmosphere. In addition, our staff and physicians are trained in how to best care for and support children and their families.
Our children's hospital philosophy of care also extends throughout our outpatient services, including outpatient testing, radiology, and rehabilitation.
