Safe Kids Kalamazoo County is one of more than 300 grassroots coalitions in the United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico that bring together health and safety experts, educators, corporations, foundations, governments and volunteers to educate and protect families. As southwest Michigan's leader in children's health, Bronson Children's Hospital is proud to take a leading role in Safe Kids Kalamazoo County.
The goal is to prevent accidental childhood injuries, the leading killer of children under the age of 14, by:
- Raising community awareness
- Participating in school and community events
- Providing education programs
- Initiating public policy changes
- Monitoring product safety
Safe Kids Kalamazoo County partners with other community organizations and individuals to help prevent injuries through several efforts, including:

- Home Safety
- Pedestrian Safety
- Poison Prevention
- Water Safety
