Chest Pain Treatment
As southwest Michigan's first accredited Chest Pain Center, Bronson offers special expertise in treating chest pain. To earn this distinction, a hospital must meet or exceed a wide set of stringent criteria and complete onsite evaluations by a review team from the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
Cardiac Specialty Center
Bronson Methodist Hospital has been designated a UnitedHealth PremiumSM cardiac specialty center, reflecting national recognition of its cardiac care services. Bronson was the first hospital in the state of Michigan to receive this designation.
The UnitedHealth PremiumSM cardiac specialty centers program identifies hospitals nationwide that are leaders in providing cardiac care. Select hospitals in the UnitedHealthcare network are invited to apply for designation. Hospitals are selected for designation as cardiac specialty centers based on scope of services and quality outcomes.
Governor's Award for Excellence
For the third year in a row, Bronson has received the Governor's Award of Excellence for Improving Care in the Hospital and Emergency Department Setting. The award is bestowed to hospitals that are embracing evidence-based medicine and quality improvement initiatives to advance health care in Michigan.
Bronson used proven, evidence-based practices to produce successful measured outcomes in selected clinical areas. Selected areas included heart attack, heart failure and surgical infection prevention for inpatients, as well as pneumonia and heart attack for the Emergency Department.
