Cardiac Rehabilitation

Limiting the effects of cardiac illness on the body and mind-that's the focus of Bronson's cardiac rehab program. Cardiac rehabilitation starts at the hospital and continues through outpatient therapy and home care. Each step emphasizes reducing risk factors and making lifestyle changes, so you can be healthier.

Cardiac rehabilitation at Bronson usually includes monitored exercise, dietary counseling and risk factor education for patients with coronary artery disease.

Services
The cardiac rehabilitation program at Bronson is for anyone who has experienced a recent cardiac event, including:

  • Heart attack
  • Cardiac surgery
  • Stable angina (chest pain)
  • Cardiac stent/balloon angioplasty

The program is designed by cardiologists and tailored to each patient's condition.  The goal of cardiac rehabilitation is to restore you quickly and safely to a normal life and activity level.

Bronson’s cardiac rehab program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). This certification is granted to programs that demonstrate excellent service and care to cardiac patients and their families.

A physician referral and appointments are required for cardiac rehabilitation services.
