We provide care for patients of all ages - infants to adults - who are recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. Rehabilitation also helps people learn the best ways to prevent injuries and manage challenges that come from ongoing conditions.
We work closely with each patient's doctor to develop a personalized treatment plan. Then we provide regular follow-up reports as progress is made. With one-on-one treatment, our patients have plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Our therapists are specially trained to explain the changes that have occurred as a result of a surgery or injury, and what can be done to make the most of the therapy visits.

Acute Care Rehabilitation
Bronson provides comprehensive services for patients who need rehabilitation while they are still at the hospital. We provide specialized services for patients who have neurological conditions (including stroke rehabilitation) or who have had orthopedic procedures, such as total joint replacement surgery.
The typical length of stay (LOS) associated with total joint replacement surgery has dropped in recent years. At Bronson, the most frequent LOS for a single joint replacement procedure is now three days. We encourage most patients to get out of bed on the evening of their surgery day to speed up recovery and help them get back to their lives.
To support this shorter LOS, we offer therapy seven days a week. That means if you have surgery late in the week, you will have therapy over the weekend. Surgeons may recommend outpatient or home health therapy. Bronson offers both outpatient and home health therapy services.
Pediatric Rehabilitation
Children sometimes need special help as they grow and develop. We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services for pediatric patients from infancy through age 13. Our team has extensive experience in pediatric neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation.
Therapy can help with physical, sensory, motor, speech, language, and cognitive and academic difficulties. We work with parents, doctors, educators, school therapists, and community resources to best meet the needs of each child.
