What to Expect
- We work closely with patients and their families to explain every procedure. We want you to feel prepared, relaxed and comfortable.
- Many locations offer some tests on a walk-in basis-no appointment necessary.
- You must have a doctor's referral for your test. Your doctor will probably give you a form to bring with you.
- If preparation before your test (such as fasting or contrast material) is required, your doctor will give you instructions.
- Not every test is available at every location. See our Outpatient Testing and Diagnostics grid for which tests are available at each location.
Results
We will send a medical report about your results to your referring doctor. Your doctor will share the test results with you. Please allow your doctor adequate time to receive and record your results in your patient chart before calling.
Insurance and Billing
Please make co-payments at the time of your visit unless you have made other arrangements in advance.
Please let us know if your labs must be sent to a facility other than Bronson Methodist Hospital.
We will bill your insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid for your testing or diagnostic services. If you are not insured, you will receive a bill for all services.
Many insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, require approval or referral from your primary care doctor for some tests. Please check with your insurance plan for details before the day of your visit. Otherwise, you may have to reschedule your test or pay the cost of the service.
Costs
You can learn the cost of a test or procedure by calling Bronson HealthAnswers at (269) 341-7723 or toll-free (800) 451-6310. If you have a question about a bill you have received, please call the telephone number on the bill.
