Do you plan on having weight-loss surgery? This intensive six-week program is designed with you in mind. And it satisfies the pre-surgery requirements for Bronson employees with Bronson’s health insurance.
Our team of healthcare professionals helps you to prepare for the surgery and for the permanent dietary and lifestyle changes you will need to make after your procedure. You will also learn how to change behaviors that sabotage your eating patterns.
Before the program begins, you receive:
- consultation with a mental health professional
- nutrition consultation with a registered dietitian
- fitness assessment with an exercise physiologist
The six-week program includes:
- Weekly group education sessions led by our team members.
- Ten private, one-hour personal training sessions with an exercise physiologist.
- Menus, recipes, and shopping lists you can customize.
- A personalized meal plan designed by a dietitian.
Portions of this program may be reimbursed through your medical insurance. Contact your health plan to verify your coverage.

A referral from your healthcare provider is required for the Bariatric Pre-Surgery Program. Call your healthcare provider get one.
The next program runs Tuesdays, September 9 to October 14, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. (final session runs 4:30 to 6 p.m.). Register by August 19 so you can complete your pre-program assessments! Location: Suite M-515, Bronson Methodist Hospital.
