Neil A. Johnson is responsible for the operations of the Emergency Department, Trauma Services, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Neurosciences, and Orthopedic Services. In addition, Johnson is responsible for the operational and capital budget for Patient Care Services. Johnson joined Bronson Methodist Hospital in 2003 as director of trauma and emergency services.

Prior to joining Bronson, Johnson served as administrative director of the Trauma Center Emergency Department at Wishard Health Services in Indianapolis. He also held other leadership positions during his nine-year tenure with Wishard.

Johnson earned his Bachelor of Arts, Political Science/Management degree from Hanover College and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Indiana University as an Honors Graduate. He also holds a Masters in Science Administration from Central Michigan University.

Johnson has served as a board member for Van Buren County EMS, Allegan County EMS, West Michigan Air Care, Kalamazoo County Medical Authority, and the Greater Kalamazoo United Way.
