Bronson Neurology Welcomes New ProviderSeptember 21, 2009 KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Bronson Methodist Hospital welcomes Karen Freshwater, PA-C to Bronson Neurology. Freshwater joins the Bronson Neurology team of Hisanori Hasegawa, M.D., Dennis Jewett, M.D., Dean Kindler, M.D., Kelly Ybema, M.D., Anita Buitenwerf, NP, and Lori Tatay, PA-C. Freshwater is a certified physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She received her master’s degree in medicine through the physician assistant program at Western Michigan University and bachelor’s degree in animal science from University of Missouri. The neurology team at Bronson uses the latest treatments to treat epilepsy and seizures, headaches, muscle problems, peripheral nerve disease, stroke and traumatic brain injury. The team includes the only fellowship trained epileptologist for the treatment of epilepsy and the only board certified vascular neurologist for the treatment of disorders of the central nervous system due to stroke.
