In this three session evening class you will learn things that will to help you during pregnancy, labor, and delivery for vaginal and Cesarean section births, including:
- Relaxation
- Breathing patterns
- Coping skills to relieve discomfort
- Pain relief both natural and medical
- Support person's role
- Postpartum experience
The class includes a tour of the Bronson Birth Place. Videos will be shown.
This class should be taken between the 28th and 38th week of pregnancy. We expect that each mom registered will bring a support person with her to class.
Medicaid is accepted and financial aid is available.
*Class content is the same at Bronson Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and South Haven locations (with the exception of the birthplace tour, offered at Kalamazoo and Battle Creek locations only). If you register for Prepared Childbirth class in South Haven, please feel free to register for a birthplace tour separately.
Bronson Gilmore Center for Health Education, Classrooms 3A & 3B
Please bring 2 pillows and a beach towel or small blanket with you to class and dress in comfortable clothing.
You are welcome to bring drinks or snacks to class.
