Safe Workout Options

The BAC is Back!

Temporary club hours - phase 1:

  • Mondays-Thursdays: 5 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Fridays: 5 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Saturdays 7 a.m.- noon
  • Sundays: closed

We are thrilled to reopen our doors and help you get back on track with your health and fitness goals! In order to make sure we maintain all state-mandated health and safety requirements and orient our staff, we are opening in a phased approach. We appreciate your patience and Positivity during the closure, and ask that you continue as we ramp back up our services. The health and safety of our members and team has always been our top priority - and is more important than ever as we work through the changes coronavirus has brought our way.

What will my gym experience look like?

Per state guidelines and in accordance with Bronson’s infection prevention team:

  • You must wear a mask at all times while inside the club.
  • Please use the normal BAC parking lot and entrance, located on the west side of the building. To keep rehab patients and club members separate, it is important not to use the rehab parking areas or building entrance.
  • Upon entry, you will be screened for COVID -19 symptoms. If you pass screening, you will scan your own membership card at the service desk.
  • To help reduce the spread of germs, we ask that you wipe down your equipment before and after use. Our team will also work diligently to clean all hard surfaces on a routine schedule throughout the day.
  • Please only use designated equipment and workout spaces. Please obey all signs marking closed areas.
  • Always maintain six feet social distance.
  • As we can only fill the club at 25% capacity, no guests may use the club at this time.

Phase 1 activities

We expect phase 1 of reopening to run from September 9-September 30. Activities available during this time include:

  • Group exercise - held in combination in our new, larger studio, located in the old conference rooms next to the deli, outside and on the gym floor
  • New TRX studio, located next to the Sports Performance Zone on the first floor
  • Sports Performance Zone
  • Cardio and strength training equipment
  • Indoor track
  • SYNRGY room
  • Second floor balcony, to be used for outdoor workouts

During phase 1, restrooms are available, however, other locker room amenities including showers, lockers and towel services are not open.

Phase 2 activities

We plan to open in our second phase on Monday October 5. In phase 2, we will open the lap and exercise pools. Both will be available by reservation only.

Phase 3 and beyond

We hope to move into phase 3 on November 1. This will include the opening of locker rooms in full – with lockers, showers and towel service.

We are also evaluating a plan for safely reopening the Youth Activity Center, deli and, Pro Shop and racquetball courts.

Under the Governor’s current restrictions, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and cold plunge pools must remain closed. These areas will remain closed until further decisions have been made by the state and Bronson’s infection prevention team.

Monthly dues and no-charge freezes

We do know that during this time, some members feel more comfortable working out at home. To make your experience with the BAC as easy as possible, only those members who choose to come to the club during the months of September and October will be charged reduced monthly dues.

OPT IN TO USE THE CLUB:

  • September:
    • If you come to the club September 9-15, you will be charged a reduced dues rate of $50. This covers use of the club for the month of September.
    • If you come to the club September 16-30, you will be charged a reduced dues rate of $25. This gives you use of the club for the reminder of the month of September.
  • October:
    • If you come to the club October 1-15, you will be charged a reduced dues rate of $75. This covers use of the club for the month of October.
    • If you come to the club October 16-31, you will be charged a reduced dues rate of $50. This gives you use of the club for the reminder of the month of October.

Starting November 1, we will move back to our normal dues structure. If your account is still frozen at this time, you will start accruing the normal $15 freeze fee. If your account is active, you will start being charged your normal dues.
