Bronson Battle Creek Hospital was the only hospital in Calhoun County to receive an 'A' Hospital Safety ScoreSM by The Leapfrog Group and for four cycles in a row. American Cancer Society’s Health Care Leadership Award from the Commission on Cancer (2010)
Given for the first time in the area, it was made because the cancer staff has been instrumental in connecting ACS programs and services to BBC cancer patients and their families over the years.

Bronson Battle Creek was the recipient of the 2007-08 Governor’s Award for Improving Patient Safety and Quality of Care in the Hospital Setting for the third year in a row. BBC was recognized specifically in four categories: appropriate care measure, computerized physician order entry (CPOE), emergency department, and surgical care improvement project.
