Frantz Family Honors Their Child Through a Generous Donation

Meghan and Ryan Frantz

On April 6, 2022, Meghan and Ryan Frantz honored the memory of their son, Kohen Allen Frantz, on what would have been his first birthday, with providing a generous donation to support families. Kohen was stillborn just one day before reaching 31 weeks in Meghan’s pregnancy. Meghan and Ryan along with their one-month-old daughter donated 82 stuffed bears and 75 copies of "Guess How Much I Love You" books for families who experience a fetal or infant loss at Bronson Methodist Hospital’s Labor & Delivery unit. Each book comes with a note of support from Meghan and Ryan along with Kohen’s handprint with the hopes that families can create memories with their babies while they can, like the Frantz's were able to with Kohen. Meghan shared that “We had a special book that we took maternity pictures with, was supposed to be the theme of the shower my family was throwing him and that we brought with us and were able to read to him multiple times before we left the hospital. That book is Guess How Much I Love You.”

“When we came into the hospital last April to deliver” Meghan continued, “we were given a bear that has become a very special and meaningful part of our family over the past year – our ‘Koh Bear’. We would like to make sure that other families that have similar experiences to ours have that comfort provided to them as well.”
