For the past five years, the Feldpausch Foundation has hosted an annual golf outing. The 2012 event, to honor those suffering from cancer, raised $16,500 for the Cancer Care Medication Fund at Bronson Battle Creek. This fund assures that cancer patients who have little or no insurance will have access to needed medications for their treatments.
Last year, the amount of dollars raised increased dramatically. “Knowing how passionate my grandfather Parker T. Feldpausch was about the local cancer programs, I am pleased to report that the Feldpausch Foundation is matching the dollars raised from this year’s event, in his honor--making our gift $33,000,” said Corey LaGro, golf outing coordinator. “It was certainly a sad day when Grandpa died a few weeks ago, so this gift is special to us and I know for him as well. This matching gift was something he and I spoke of numerous times while in the hospital. He was always thinking of how to help others and this is another way for his good nature to live on.”
If you enjoy golfing and want to help others at the same time, then you might want to save these dates for three upcoming golf outings in Battle Creek.
