It all starts with you. Through planned giving, you can make a lasting impact on your community, create healthy opportunities for future generations, and foster what you value. The Bronson Health Foundation welcomes charitable gifts from forward-looking donors. Planned giving involves providing a future gift through your financial or estate plans. Often, a planned (deferred) gift can be more substantial than what you might be able to donate as an outright gift.

Planning your donation takes careful consideration. The suggestions we provide illustrate some of the ways to accomplish charitable giving under current tax regulations. When you begin planning, you should consult an attorney, certified public accountant or other tax professional.
The Bronson Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. All gifts may be designated for specific purpose, department or project. Unrestricted donations will be applied to the areas of greatest need at the time of the donation.
Honoring Your Committment
Your planned gift to the Bronson Health Foundation will be acknowledged in the Margaret Varney Legacy Society. The society honors individuals and families who have committed to a legacy gift at any level.
Margaret H. Varney’s spirit of giving paved the way for others to join her in making a lasting impact on the health of our community. Varney was a graduate of the Bronson School of Nursing and an employee of Bronson Methodist Hospital. Upon her death in 1997, she bequeathed a generous gift from her estate with the intent that an endowment fund be established to perpetuate the work of the Bronson Health Foundation. That endowment has grown steadily over the years allowing Varney’s legacy to live on and generate thousands of dollars of new support annually.
“Supporting our community hospital has always been important to us. Leaving behind a legacy gift through our estate presented a new opportunity to make an even greater impact.”
