In tears thinking about how good Ally and Dr. Murphy are to us

Allison (Ally) Austin has been my baby's cardiology nurse. My baby has a severe single ventricle heart defect. I have ALL the anxiety.

I knew when we found out about her heart at our anatomy scan that we would spend a lot of time at the pediatric cardiology office. I figured we would get to know her doctor and nurse well, we’d see them every couple of weeks to make sure everything was good, and I’d message them with questions when needed.

I did not expect my anxiety to be sooooo extreme, which turned into me constantly messaging them through MyChart. When I say constantly, it was at least once a week (sometimes more), every week for 6 months. Even if I didn’t have a concern, I just felt I had to be in contact with them.

Despite me bugging her so frequently, she never ever made me feel bad about it. She made me feel so much more comfortable with everything going on.

While my baby was inpatient at MOTTS after receiving her hemi-fontan, Ally checked on us every single day.

My baby loves Ally, I love Ally. She deserves all of the good things. Literally in tears thinking about how good Ally and Dr. Murphy are to us.
