There is truly no one who has a greater impact on our department than Alex Goodman. In his role as Charge Nurse, Alex is always in the thick of things, managing staffing and scheduling challenges day in and day out with a calm and steady presence. Whether he is working through add-on cases when we are already short staffed or making sure the department is covered after hours, Alex somehow keeps everything running smoothly. His impact reaches far beyond the OR team and extends to our providers and patients as well. Alex puts an incredible amount of thought into daily room assignments, taking the time to balance provider preferences with what works best for the team. This thoughtful approach makes a meaningful difference in workflow, teamwork, and overall satisfaction for everyone involved. Alex’s attention to detail and ability to adapt when resources are limited are a major reason our department continues to function at such a high level. I am confident that we would not be able to accommodate the number of patients we currently serve without Alex’s leadership and dedication.
