Andy in the NCCU went above and beyond for my dad

My dad was admitted to Bronson on 7/18 after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke at home. While we value his entire care team and appreciate all efforts to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for my dad, I'd like to especially thank Andy - one of his nurses on 7/19. Andy went above and beyond to ensure my dad was comfortable and that we were well informed throughout the day. His genuine care, humor, willingness to listen, and understanding went a long way on a day where my dad was very confused and frustrated. He talked to my dad, looked him in the eye, and made him feel human and deserving of the care he was receiving. The day ended on a positive note as my dad went home after Andy wheeled him to the car and told him he had a lovely family. Thanks to Andy for helping an entire family appreciate loving care and his dedication to treating a person…not just a patient.
