Ashley is the Best of the Best
No trip to the emergency department (ED) is fun and the time spent there is long. But last night I brought my husband to the ED for liver pain and it was making it hard for him to walk and our nurse was one-of-a-kind. Her name is Ashley Moore and she made the six hours we were in the ED seem like we were not there fir six hours. Ashley has a wonderful bedside manner, she was attentive, very kind, listened and answered all our questions, even when we re-asked a question. Ashley had a great sense of humor, that both my husband and I appreciated. When you are sick, in the ED for long hours, it is more bearable when you get a nurse who makes you laugh, makes you relaxed and in Ashley's case, make you feel like you are the only patient she has, even though you know that isn't true.
I worked at Mayo Clinic for 12 years and Ashley is what Mayo would call "the best of the best." She is 110% the best of the best that my husband and I have encountered, in our many times in the ED. Bronson is very fortunate to have Ashley, as are her co-workers to be able to work with her. Most importantly Ashley's patients are fortunate when she is their nurse. I strongly believe Ashley enjoys being a nurse, as it showed every time she was in my husband's room.
