At-home visits supported our family

When our son came home after surgery for a serious heart condition, we were nervous about the care he’d need. From the moment we brought him home, his nurse Barbara with Bronson at Home became an invaluable part of our care team. She came to our home and helped us with his growth and feeding challenges while he was still on a G-tube. Having someone so knowledgeable there to support us was critical, as he was still in such a fragile state.

Unfortunately, just two weeks after coming home, he developed pneumonia and was hospitalized for nearly a month. After we were able to bring him home again, Barbara stepped in immediately, coordinated with his pediatrician and helped us transition his care during that time.

As he began to gain strength, we added more services from Bronson at Home, like occupational therapy and feeding therapy with Laura, and later physical therapy with Barb, too. Having each of these specialists come into our home was important to us because it meant that we didn’t have to take him to numerous appointments, which would have been hard for him and our family. With the support of Bronson at Home, he’s now eating solids and hitting more milestones.

We’re incredibly grateful for the care, compassion and teamwork Bronson at Home has brought into our lives!
