I’m Grateful to Have a Supervisor Who Supports My Military Service

Bradley Watson presenting Ryan Stone with the ESGR Patriot Award.

As a member of the Army Reserve, it’s my duty to continue serving our country in whatever capacity the Army needs me to. Sometimes these assignments are short notice, taking me away from my work as a security supervisor at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.

That’s why I’m incredibly grateful for my supervisor, Ryan Stone. He never sees my military commitments as an inconvenience. He’s always understanding and ensures my shifts are covered when I’m on assignment, which gives me peace of mind when I’m called to serve.

To recognize his outstanding support, I had the honor of presenting Ryan with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award. This award celebrates supervisors who go above and beyond for their employees in the National Guard or Reserve. This includes offering flexible schedules, time off before and after deployments and granting leaves of absence when needed.

Thank you, Ryan, my amazing security team, and Bronson for encouraging a culture that honors the sacrifices of service members.
