Above and Beyond Expectations

I am a provider who is rarely on the receiving end of medical care. Prior to the Bronson Children's Hospital Walk/Run, I suddenly collapsed on the sidewalk.

I would like to share my heartfelt appreciation to the event's medical crew who responded quickly to a decidedly non-orthopedic issue, including - Carrie Calhoun, MS, ATC, Kevin Lehman, ATC, and Sarah McBrien, ATC. They were professional, friendly, and handled the situation with poise!

While the paramedics loaded me into the ambulance, Anthony Conroy with Security helped to manage my fiancé's kids so she could be with me. That was above and beyond expectations and was truly appreciated.

Finally, my thanks to all that helped me in the emergency department. Matt Wilton, PA, was professional and thorough as well as witty and reassuring. My nurse, Nicole Franks, RN, and Lindsay Bucher made my emergency department time as tolerable as possible. Their caring nature and concern for my comfort were appreciated.

My hope is that all those involved in my care will be notified of my sincere gratitude.
