I cannot thank you all enough

I have never felt as good about being at an emergency room as I have at Bronson LakeView Hospital. Nobody wants to be at the mercy of an emergency room when really going through an immense amount of pain. I cannot say enough incredible things about all of the staff for being aware of my physical signs of pain and caring for me immediately. Although under the care of a specialized pain clinic for my back, I have gone two years with pain. I have jumped several hoops and done every procedure requested of me, without any resolution. While I await a new procedure I am going to have done (rhizotomy) I have been in an intense amount of pain and I had reached my max threshold. The care team at Bronson Lakeview ER was so thorough and were able to explain options for me to get some relief while I await the next steps with my pain clinic. I have never seen such a heartfelt provider jumping in to cover all of her bases with bloodwork, to ensure no infection from injections, that I had received an xray to ensure the chiropractic manipulation did not cause damage, and had finally made a decision to administer pain relief that ultimately felt life saving.

I have not had one moment of being pain free and they were the team that finally saw what I was going through as a person. I had felt my pain clinic had treated me inhumanly by making me await the next injection that ultimately wouldn’t work. I can see the provider at Bronson LakeView wanted to ensure I had some quality of life with my family, as I had finally reached a point I felt helpless with how awful the pain was. To be feeling no pain for the first time in two years, and to be heard and have staff check on many aspects, was amazing.

I want to thank the nursing staff as well for making things as painless as possible with the shots and how willing they were to address a concern I had. She explained how involved the process is of obtaining medication, but happily reached out to the pharmacy for me. Bronson LakeView, I can truly say, feels as though you’ve saved my life. Even if this temporary relief only keeps for a short period of time, it has allowed my body to reset and keep fighting. I cannot thank you all enough. You are all wonderful human beings.
