Dr. Hari Nair, a medical oncologist and hematologist, believes this dedication is at the heart of everything Bronson does. By combining cutting-edge science with compassion, Dr. Nair creates personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique needs. Patients can trust that with providers like Dr. Nair, they are in capable hands every step of the way.
Dr. Nair’s journey into oncology began early in his medical training, fueled by his interest in the science of tumor development and cancer treatment. During his formative years at Dana-Farber Cancer Center, he immersed himself in clinical oncology and cancer research, shaping his career and solidifying his commitment to helping patients with cancer and blood disorders. Today, his special interests include treating lung, breast, stomach and intestinal cancers, as well as prostate, bladder and kidney cancers. He also addresses blood disorders such as clotting problems and abnormalities in blood counts.
“The rapid advances in cancer care are exciting,” Dr. Nair said. “I’m particularly inspired by treatments that use a person’s immune system to fight cancer. These advancements enable us to provide more effective, tailored therapies to our patients.”
For Dr. Nair, exceptional care is about more than just applying the latest treatments. “Exceptional care means striving to provide compassionate, individualized care of the highest quality to each patient,” he explains. “It’s about understanding my patients beyond their disease—getting to know their values, interests and unique circumstances. By adopting a team-based, collaborative approach, I ensure that every care plan is as comprehensive and personalized as possible.”
Dr. Nair emphasizes the importance of balancing science and humanity. “When I formulate a care plan, I work closely with patients to incorporate their goals and circumstances, while ensuring the treatment is evidence-based and cutting-edge.”
What stands out most to Dr. Nair about working at Bronson is the positive and supportive culture. “Every member of the Bronson team I’ve interacted with has a tremendously positive attitude, both towards patients and colleagues. This fosters an environment of care, growth, and development—for everyone,” he says. “I’m fortunate to be part of this exceptional organization and look forward to growing alongside my team.”
