Daisy is an exceptional nurse!

Daisy has been a part of the Women's VIP/MBU team for close to two years, first as a Nurse Extern on the Mother-Baby unit, and most recently as a Women's VIP Nurse for the past year.

It became clear very early on that Daisy was going to excel in her new nursing role. Daisy wanted to challenge herself and asked when applying about the possibility of filling one of the Women's VIP positions. Typically, we look to fill these positions with experienced OB nurses, not new graduate RN's. After seeing the drive, determination and engagement shown during her externship, Daisy was selected to become a Women's VIP RN. Since starting in this role Daisy has done an outstanding job! She has completed her training for all three units the Women's VIP role supports (Mother-Baby, Antepartum and Labor & Delivery), and has also asked for the opportunity to learn greater skills in L&D, beyond those which are required for a WVIP RN. Due to the superb knowledge and skills Daisy has shown, the leadership team has agreed to support Daisy in this endeavor.

In addition to her excellent nursing ability, Daisy earned her bachelor's degree within four months of starting her nursing career. She also goes above and beyond to support the unit and her peers by routinely picking up extra shifts to ensure the unit and our patients are safe. It has been a joy to watch Daisy grow over the last two years and I cannot wait to see what accomplishments she will achieve in the future!
