Darkisha's Honored for Her Kindness, Hard Work and Supportive Energy

Be Exceptional Every Day: Award Nomination #1
Darkisha is one of the hardest workers in our department and for Bronson in general! She loves her co-workers and her patients equally and gives her all to make sure everyone is cared for in a manner that best fits their needs. She is sweet and has a smile for everyone and show her kindness and empathy at just the right moments. She connects with patients in a way that makes them feel like family. If anyone deserves this award, it's her!
Be Exceptional Every Day: Award Nomination #2
Dar took the time to talk with me and my wife who was not in the room, but on video. Her patience and humor helped calm my wife who was over an hour away. Thank you, Dar.
Be Exceptional Every Day: Award Nomination #3
She is the most sweetest and welcoming nurse I came into contact with. She made me feel at home. She stayed bubbly and her attitude helped me not think about what I was going through. Thank you. I will not forget you.
Be Exceptional Every Day: Award Nomination #4
Dar is an excellent example of a caregiver. She is full of friendly, encouraging and supportive energy. She is a delight on the floor and her work brings confidence to the team. In the face of adversities and difficult patients, she still provides non bias appropriate care. She is a very valuable part of the Observation Unit Family.
Be Exceptional Every Day: Award Nomination #5
I could write a novel of the importance that Darkisha has to the Observation Unit. She is hardworking, approachable, and always on top of her work. Without asking she is in a room admitting patients before I can do so. She is always helping the PCA/Techs without question. As a new unit coordinator, we have weekly rounds to do with the patients about their experience on the floor. Here and there staff are announced but almost always when Dar is working or if she worked the day before she is recognized. She is always recognized as being personable, accountable, happy, joyful and hardworking by patients. As one of her managers she is always going out of her way to help with staffing, shower and bath patients that really need extra care and also keeping track and asking the nurses who have wound care for the day so she can take care of that when she is free which truly helps the nurses. Even on a hard day or with personal life getting hard her patients never know. They always describe her as truly loving her job and always smiling even when its busy and chaotic at work.
