I Want to Thank Dr. Kelley and Her Nurse

I just want to thank both Dr. Katherine Kelley and her nurse at Bronson Colon & Rectal Surgery Specialists - John St. She was the kindest nurse I have had in YEARS and I’m not exaggerating. And, I see multiple specialists for different things. She was absolutely wonderful and I wish every nurse was as comforting and kind as she was. She showed compassion and was professional. She was gentle and showed understanding. She made me feel like it was okay to be there, even though ultimately, I didn’t want to be. She even grabbed me tissues because she saw the tears starting.

Dr. Kelley was down to earth, truthful, welcoming and accepting. She didn’t make me feel incompetent for asking questions. She answered everything that I asked and explained things to me in words that I could understand. She LISTENED to ME; to both my complaints of pain and my health frustrations.

She is the fourth person I have gone to for these problems and she’s the very first one who found the cause of my pain and bleeding. She made me feel comfortable and reiterated that if I was uncomfortable, she did not “have to” continue the exam. I am very thankful for her kindness, professionalism and ability to make me feel heard. For the first time.
