The care from Dr. Wiggins, Dawn Boven, NP and all the staff in the office was top notch

On 12/27/23 my husband Joe had a lumbar laminectomy with Dr. Wiggins. Post op he had a small area of his incision that was not closing. After a couple days it had begun to drain. We were in constant contact with Dr. Wiggins and the office. Bobbi in the office was amazing to work with. Always very thorough and always got back in touch. On 1/12/24, things took a turn with large amounts of drainage. Dr. Wiggins had us go to the office. On this day, while most Bronson practices were closing due to a snowstorm, Dawn Boven, NP with Dr. Wiggins came from rounding to the office to see Joe. She assessed the wound, removed 2 remaining staples, took cultures and dressed it, giving me instructions to continue the dressing changes at home. Don't worry, I am a nurse and work at Bronson! Dawn was exceptional. She was kind and caring and thorough with her teaching. She was amazing! There was never a complaint about inconveniencing Dawn or anyone in the office that stayed to accommodate us. This prevented an emergency visit for us and likely an admission by being able to be there for my husband. The care from Dr. Wiggins, Dawn and all the staff in the office was top notch!
