Emilie steps up with a smile on her face

Emilie Bays, PCA, is the recipient of the 2025 Sunshine Award

There is no person in this hospital more deserving of this award than Emilie, a PCA on the post-anesthesia care unit. Emilie is a coworker that will step up in any and every way and will help everyone with a smile on her face. She always goes above and beyond from training in different positions, to picking up when we are short, anticipating and solving problems before they become larger issues. Emilie is a great communicator when we are dealing with a stressful situation. She is great at addressing family members and/or physicians before the issue can grow. We owe Emilie so much for her hard work and dedication to our unit. We appreciate her so much!
