I think it is one of the finest hospitals I have ever been in.

My friend recently received care at Bronson Methodist Hospital for heart failure and two heart valves that were going bad. They ended up at this hospital after being transferred from another hospital due to a poor experience. They were scheduled to have heart surgery on a Thursday, but before the scheduled surgery, their condition began to decline. So, Dr. Parth Amin – a cardiothoracic/thoracic surgeon – performed an emergency surgery instead. Following surgery, Dr. Amin met with me and another friend to give a full update. Dr. Amin was very informative and personable. He is exactly what people need. He was able to answer all my questions and talk to me on a level that I could speak at and conveyed what happened in surgery in a meaningful way.

I am a former open heart recovery nurse myself, and I also worked for several years as a nurse anesthetist. I became involved in my friend’s care – acting as a liaison – because of this background. After my friend was released from the hospital, I acted as their assistant in recovery. Any time that I needed to contact Dr. Amin or nurse practitioner, Amy Griswold, with questions, they always answered quickly.

I have to say… I have never been to Bronson Methodist Hospital prior to my friend’s admittance, and I could not have been more pleased! After working in and visiting various healthcare systems across the country in my 40+ year career, I have never experienced a hospital like Bronson Methodist Hospital. I think it is one of the finest hospitals I have ever been in. The hospital is beautiful; it is well taken care of. The facilities are clean and the environment is welcoming. I would like to compliment the housekeeping crews and all the people who care for the facility! Also, I was impressed by the food service team and the food they served. These are the things that are often overlooked and aren’t talked about. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the facility.

Although I don’t live close to any Bronson facility, after witnessing the amazing level of care and the wonderful environment, I have told my wife that if I ever need to be hospitalized, get me to Bronson!
