From NICU Mom to Milk Donor

Today marks the end of a deeply meaningful journey—for this baby, at least! This morning, I made my final milk donation, bringing my total to 3,292 ounces since I began in June, with 1,782 ounces donated just today.

When I was induced at 34 weeks due to severe preeclampsia, my son spent a few days in the NICU receiving donor milk. In that moment, I knew my goal would be to give back and support other NICU families in need. After a full year of exclusively pumping, it’s bittersweet to close this chapter, but I take comfort in knowing my donations have helped other babies thrive.

I am forever grateful to the incredible team at Mothers’ Milk Bank for the life-changing work you do. I hope to be back in the next year or two, continuing to give to those who need it most!
