If You’re Thinking About Joint Replacement, I’d Say Go for It!

With a history of arthritis, I’ve had multiple joint replacements, including a hip and two knee replacements at Bronson. The first knee procedure was in 2023 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, the second one was in May 2024, at the new Bronson Orthopedic Surgery Center. 

Both were great experiences! When you’re in pain, you don’t want to have to walk very far, so the location and parking at the new surgery center is so much more convenient and much less of a walk than at the hospital. When I arrived, it was a quick check in and it felt like everyone was waiting only on me, so very comforting. 

All the staff are fabulous, caring, personable and upbeat, so I would definitely recommend Bronson for these types of procedures. My surgeon, Dr. Bernard Roehr performed both of my knee replacements, and the coordination with my arthritis doctor, Dr. Davi Sa Leitao was seamless.

I've been really pleased with my results. This is major work happening, but it's done so quick and easy now. It’s such as easy procedure. I went home the same day, and my recovery was smooth. I went back to work the week after my surgery and my scars are minimal, like only 4-5 inches, so recovery is much faster. 

This is such an incredible operation with good results. If someone is considering joint replacement, I’d tell them to go for it!
