It’s rewarding getting to work with patients to help decrease pain and improve functional mobility.

I have worked as a physical therapist at Bronson since 2014. I chose to become a physical therapist because it is extremely rewarding getting to work with patients and their families to help decrease pain and improve functional mobility.  Patients may come to me for insidious onset of pain or chronic pain. Other times, they come to me in order to help heal and recover from an injury or illness. My patients are so appreciative when I can help them achieve their goals and return to their prior level of functional status. The best part about my job is when I can truly make a difference in improving a patient’s day to day function and quality of life.

I have worked at the same outpatient clinic, Bronson Rehabilitation – John Street, for the last nine years. I enjoy working for Bronson because of the team I get to work with. Our team is very fun and positive and I have developed great friendships with my coworkers. I also enjoy working for Bronson because they offer great benefits, incentives and reimbursement for wellness services.

Since joining Bronson, I have grown professionally as a physical therapist, and in 2018 I became certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT). As I continue to gain more experience as a therapist, I am developing more and more interest in leadership opportunities.

I feel appreciated by our leadership, especially my manager, she has been wonderful to work with. She is supportive of all her employees and is extremely approachable and present in our clinic. She is understanding of our interests and strengths and has encouraged me to pursue leadership opportunities.  Our leadership team has been very transparent with our team especially when our department was experiencing a lot of change. We have more trust and confidence in our leaders when there is clear communication. They work extremely hard to provide us with the support we need.
