Kim, a nurse on the Bronson Battle Creek Hospital Medical Intensive Care Unit, consistently demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a deep commitment to professional nursing practice.

Kim serves in multiple critical roles on our unit, including Charge RN, SWAT RN, and preceptor. In each of these positions, she brings a high level of skill, confidence, and clinical judgment that benefits both patients and staff. As Charge RN, Kim provides strong leadership and ensures the unit runs smoothly while maintaining a focus on patient safety and high-quality care. In her role as a SWAT RN, she is a trusted clinical resource who responds to complex situations with calmness, expertise, and efficiency.

Kim is also an outstanding preceptor who invests time and energy into developing new nurses. She shares her knowledge generously, provides thoughtful guidance, and helps build the confidence and competence of those she mentors. Her dedication to teaching strengthens the entire team and helps maintain the high standards of care within the MICU while promoting evidence-based practice.

In addition to her clinical and educational contributions, Kim serves as the chair of our Unit-Based Council for Nursing Professional Governance. In this leadership role, she actively promotes professional nursing practice, encourages staff engagement, and helps drive initiatives that improve both patient care and the work environment for our team.

Kim’s extensive expertise, leadership, and commitment to advancing nursing practice make her an invaluable member of the MICU. Her contributions have a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the patients we serve.
