Inspired by the Compassion, Positivity and Patient-First Culture

A man sits in a waiting room, smiling for the camera.

I joined the team at Bronson in April 2007 as an extern in the human resources department. However, my connection to Bronson began several years earlier, in December 2002, when I was admitted to the Bronson Methodist Hospital trauma ICU and then completed 10 weeks of inpatient rehabilitation at Bronson in Vicksburg. Experiencing Bronson from the patient perspective gave me a firsthand appreciation for the compassion, positivity and patient-first culture that define this organization. Even then, I could see Bronson's commitment to innovative medicine and exceptional care. Those experiences inspired me to join the Bronson team, and for the past 19.5 years, I have remained because those same values continue to guide the work we do every day.

To me, Health in Harmony reflects the idea that every individual in every role within Bronson contributes to something greater than themself. Like musicians in an orchestra, each team member plays a unique and essential part in creating a beautiful and coordinated outcome. From executive leadership, providers to nurses to administrators, support staff, environmental services associates and so many more, every person contributes a vital note to the symphony of care we provide. Health in Harmony happens when we work together to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for patients and the communities we serve.
