Intelligent and compassionate, she's exactly what a nurse should be

Caitlin, a nurse wearing green scrub pants and a black sweater, stands holding a bouquet of white daisies in front of a green banner recognizing her as a DAISY Award winner.

I came into the hospital in a lot of pain and was eventually sent to the critical care unit. I had a nurse named Caitlin on one of my days there and she was so wonderful. She was training a new nurse and the way she explained and educated that nurse on what was going on with me even helped me understand it and be less scared. It also made me feel comfortable enough with her to ask questions and not feel dumb. She sat with me and made sure all my questions were answered, and I wasn’t confused. She has such a calm manner and a way with how she teaches- she should be training all of your nurses. She made sure I was bathed and washed and brushed my hair with fresh bedding and a hospital gown. No one else had done that during my stay and it made me feel nice and refreshed. I was sad that she was only my nurse for one day. Bronson needs more nurses like her. Intelligent and compassionate. Exactly what a nurse should be.

Caitlin is intelligent and compassionate. While caring for me as my nurse, she was also training a new nurse. The way she explained to the other nurse what was going on with me helped me better understand and become less scared. She sat with me and made sure I wasn’t confused. She has such a calm manner.
