Bronson has given me the tools and support to grow—not just as a leader, but as a person.

My Journey at Bronson

I’ve been with Bronson for 11.5 years, and it’s been an incredible journey of growth. I started out as Dr. Workman’s medical assistant at Bronson Internal Medicine and worked in that role for nearly three years. I was then promoted to Practice Clinical Coordinator, where I supported multiple clinics, including internal medicine, rheumatology and family medicine locations.

After a few years in that role, my manager and mentor, Jeanne Bankhead, retired. I stepped into her position as Practice Manager, a role I’ve now proudly held for 4.5 years. Jeanne was an incredible leader—honest, consistent and someone who truly cared about my growth and well-being. She led by example and inspired me to become the leader I am today. I’ll always be grateful for her mentorship.

What a Day in My Role Looks Like

I usually start my day around 5:30 a.m. because I enjoy having a little quiet time before everything begins. It gives me space to breathe, reflect and prepare—not just for the tasks ahead, but for the people I’ll be supporting.

By 8 a.m., I’m with my team for our morning huddle. These meetings aren’t just about logistics; they’re about connection. I highlight wins, celebrate team members who went above and beyond and remind everyone why we do what we do.

The rest of my day is all about adaptability—solving problems, answering questions and stepping in wherever I’m needed. But more than anything, I listen. A patient is upset? I listen. A staff member is overwhelmed? I listen. I’ve learned that sometimes people don’t need immediate solutions—they just need to feel heard.

By midday, I’m in meetings or reviewing reports, but I make it a point to check in with the team—not just about work, but about how they’re doing. Leadership, to me, is about presence, not just performance.

In the afternoons, I focus on strategy and improvement. I look at what’s working, what isn’t and how we can make things better. But I always remind myself that behind every number is a real story—one that matters.

Before I leave, I round one more time. I thank people, ask about their families and offer support. I believe how we end the day is just as important as how we start it.

What I Love About My Job

What I love most is simple: I get to help people and lead engaged, purpose-driven teams. For me, it’s more than just a passion—it’s a lifestyle. Every day, I have the chance to make a difference, whether that’s supporting a teammate, improving a process or creating a space where people feel truly valued and empowered.

Why I’m Proud to Work at Bronson

If you’re looking for more than just a job—if you want to be part of something meaningful—Bronson is the place.

We lead with compassion, serve with purpose and live out Bronson Positivity every day. What makes my team special is the way we consistently show up for each other and our community. We celebrate the big wins and the small ones. We grow together.

Here, your voice matters. You’re invested in and you’re recognized for the impact you make.

Benefits That Matter

One of the benefits I appreciate most is the wellness dollar program. It’s such a unique way Bronson supports our lives outside of work. You can use it for things that actually make a difference in your lifestyle—like gym memberships, smart watches or even getting your house cleaned.

On top of that, the insurance benefits are excellent. Bronson really does care about our well-being, both in and out of the workplace.

What Bronson Positivity Means to Me

To me, Bronson Positivity is more than just a saying—it’s a way of showing up every day with purpose, compassion and a commitment to making a difference.

It’s about leading with kindness, assuming the best intentions, lifting others up and creating a space where patients, families and coworkers feel genuinely cared for.

It shows up in the small moments—a smile, a helping hand or a few kind words. It’s the heart of our culture here, and I’m proud to be part of it.

Final Thoughts

Bronson has given me the tools and support to grow—not just as a leader, but as a person. From leadership development programs to mentorship, I’ve felt empowered every step of the way.

What I love most about my team is the trust, the laughter and the way we lift each other up. We work hard, but we take care of each other—and that makes all the difference.

Being part of Bronson means being part of something bigger. We’re not just here to serve patients—we’re here to serve our community. Through outreach, education or simply showing up with compassion, we’re making a real impact and I’m proud to be part of that.
