I love my team—from staff to executives. We all work together toward the same goals.

Career Journey at Bronson

I began my Bronson journey as a Surgical Technologist while I waited to attend nursing school. After a year, I was accepted and Bronson worked with me to adjust my schedule so I could attend. I became a nurse in the operating room in 2011 and spent five years in that role while also working toward my masters in Nursing Informatics.

Before finishing my degree, I became a Staff Development Instructor for Surgical Services. I then moved into leadership roles including Manager of Endoscopy and the Surgery Center (2017), Manager of Nursing for Surgery (2018), Assistant Director of Surgery (2022), and most recently, Director of Nursing for Perioperative Services (2024).

Along the way, I’ve received incredible support from peers and leaders. The positive coaching and mentoring I’ve experienced have truly shaped my path.

A Day in the Life

No two days are ever the same! I always start with a plan of high-priority items, but my day shifts based on the needs of my team. I aim to connect with my leadership team daily and round on our units. In such a busy environment, flexibility is key, and I focus on moving tasks and projects forward with intention.

What I Like About My Job

I love my team—from staff to executives. We all work together toward the same goals. Every day presents challenges, but nothing holds us back when we combine our knowledge, experience and resources.

Why I'm Proud to Work at Bronson

It’s hard to pick just one reason. We have amazing teams that communicate well and are always striving to improve. We partner closely with our physicians and support each other—whether you're here to grow your career or just work with great people and celebrate wins together.

Why You Should Join Team Bronson

The teams I work with are spectacular. The surgery teams care for about 85 patients daily with grace and collaboration. Endocrinology and the Surgery Center feel like little families—close-knit and supportive. Surgery scheduling and preadmissions are our glue. They’ve built a calm, positive work environment that radiates encouragement and teamwork.

Benefits That Matter

Bronson offers a wide range of perks, but wellness dollars stand out. You can use them on almost anything that brings you joy—your kids’ sports, outdoor recreation or self-care.

Hospital celebrations are another favorite—getting to know coworkers' families and building deeper friendships brings so much joy. Bronson also offers local support for mental health, wellbeing, and financial challenges, which makes a real difference in our daily lives.

What Bronson Positivity Means to Me

To me, it means happy, encouraging and supportive teams. Our work is hard, and it’s important to feel safe being yourself while growing. When team members feel supported, they’re better equipped to care for our patients and families during their most difficult times.
