He made me smile when I was in the worst pain

Photo of Tyler Bohacz, a nurse at bronson methodist hospital, recieving the DAISY AwardTyler Bohacz has gone above and beyond in everything I asked of him. He went to the doctor to get my pain meds increased, and got them increased within half hour. And in turn I got sleep that night after only having about four hours of sleep in four days.

Tyler stands out and made my stay here enjoyable. He didn’t just come in and do his job. He got to know me. We talked and it was just such a nice experience for being in a rough position. He listened to me and acknowledged my pain and didn’t look at me as just another patient. He made me smile when I was in the worst pain. He made me forget for a while that I even had leukemia. I looked forward to seeing him when his shift would come around. He would knock and slide the door open slowly and give me a big smile. Just made my day!
