Malinda has been a vital part of Bronson LakeView Hospital for years

Malinda is the nurse manager on the general care unit at Bronson LakeView Hospital. Staff throughout the hospital benefited from her support and leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic - one of the most trying times in healthcare. She is truly the face of Bronson LakeView Hospital.

Malinda’s work with the swing bed program this past year has been a huge lift, including countless hours of work and education to the staff at LakeView. On top of that, about a year ago Malinda helped to open a separate Pulmonary Functions site at the Bronson LakeView Outpatient Center (BLOC). Since its creation, she has worked with the Pulmonary Functions team to grow the volume of patients seen, which aids in relieving some of the hospital pulmonary volume and also increases revenue for the hospital. Malinda seamlessly works with interdepartmental teams to support these patients, is present at the Pulmonary Functions site once per week, and is always available as a leader. Malinda’s autonomy in this area has helped tremendously with patient care and access to needed services.

Malinda has personified quality and supportive leadership in her willingness to assist staff throughout Bronson LakeView Hospital whenever needed. She has been extremely flexible as new processes for the Capacity Command Center are put in place, and her reliability and accountability are greatly valued. She is not afraid to speak up, to celebrate the success of her teams, or to roll up her sleeves and help when different areas are short-staffed. You can often find her on the unit or in the ED filling in when needed or being present when other leaders are unavailable. She continuously works toward improvement with quality and system optimization and leads in many different roles to ensure the growth and success of Bronson LakeView Hospital. We are so thankful to have Malinda as our Nurse Manager and leader!
