My Nurse was the Most Refreshing Part of a Stressful Day

I underwent a relatively emergent surgery to fix my fractured tibia, after never breaking a bone in my life, or undergoing surgery. The nurse that took me back to get dressed and prepped, as well as the patient care woman were extremely kind and understanding, and were so patient with me while I was extremely stressed. My anesthesiologist came in prior to being taken back to the operating room and answered every question I had with a smile on her face. When I woke up from surgery in the post anesthesia care unit (PACU), I was in more pain than expected - and my PACU nurse, Mikayla, was a literal godsend. She made sure I was comfortable, was there for me constantly, and as a familiar face in the hospital, was the most refreshing part of a stressful day. I cannot thank her enough for her help - she is the type of nurse all nurses should aspire to be. Thank you, Mikayla!
