She's an example of what not only a nurse but a leader should be

Michelle Schuring is a Unit Coordinator on the Oncology/C5 Unit at Bronson Battle Creek. Michelle is an example to all staff. She is known to be at bedside lending a hand and going the extra mile. She is often early for her shift or staying late to see that the night shift is covered. Michelle is very organized and takes initiative to conquer anything that comes her way. She has the ability see a need and work to meet the need without being given direction. If Michelle has a deadline, I don’t ever worry that it won’t be completed timely and completely.

Michelle is instrumental in our System HAPI meeting and represents Bronson Battle Creek nursing well. She is professional and patient-focused. She is instrumental in getting the information to all areas effectively. She has created items such as a graph with pictures of what products to use. This creates quality care for our patients and easier processes for our staff.

Michelle works often behind the scenes of projects and initiatives. She never is in the spotlight. Michelle is always looking to see who needs to be recognized or celebrated.  She is good to point out those individuals and situations.  She loves to see others succeed.
