We will never forget having Caitlin as our nurse

My daughter, Christina, was a patient in critical care and she ended up being able to donate through gift of life after she passed away. It was such a terrible time for us - my daughter was young and has young children. This was all so sudden and unexpected. But through all of the grief and life changes, we continue to remember one of the nurses that works there - Caitlin. She was our Christina’s nurse for a few days and was there the day that she passed. She took such care and time with her. She made sure that we got as much uninterrupted time with Christina as possible. She played music for her after she asked us what her favorite was. She spent time brushing her hair out so her daughters could see her looking as normal as possible. She sat with us and let her daughters be right at her side as she died. She spoke with Christina when she was in the room and treated her with such care. I can’t express how that is a weight lifted off me. That my child was cared for with such a beautiful heart in her last days here on earth. We will never forget that experience with Caitlin as our nurse. And I say our nurse, not just Christina’s, because she took care of all of us. Thank you so much.
