I had to have some lab work and a urinalysis done in the Laboratory Department at South Haven Hospital on, July 18th. I was, met, by the most Wonderfully pleasant, Amiable, and, Gracious, Phlebotomist that I have ever had the honor, and privilege to be her patient!!!! She met me with such a huge and extremely beautiful smile, and matching effect on her face. Her mannerisms, and the competent style of her perfect performance while drawing my blood emitted the special qualities of combined grace, professionalism, acceptance, compassion, and joy. It was very obvious that she loved her job as a phlebotomist, and that she loved the patients that she comes in contact with during her duties. Her phlebotomy techniques were, impeccable!!! I Never felt a thing. I barely even felt the first poke. The entire experience was one of comfort, and well-being. I asked, her for her name, because I was totally impressed with, her technical skills and her people skills. She told me that her name was Denise. We, both had a very satisfying experience together, and I felt when I left that we had become friends!!! I have Never had an encounter like that, with any other Phlebotomist in my entire lifetime. She has a rare quality of making her patients feel safe, and at peace before the procedure is started. Afterwards, she helps them to have full confidence that their blood sample will be handled with privacy, and competently transferred to the lab, with certain and timely dispatch. Denise was……. is, A Blessing and, A vital, intricate, aspect of the successful laboratory experience at Bronson South Haven Hospital. My hat’s off to you Denise. Keep up the Excellent Endeavors!!!!!!
