Poise, compassion, passion, Janice is a dynamo
As a result of my recent health episode I have been undergoing some intense testing the last two days. And if you know me, you know I love knowing the stories of the folks who cross my path.
🩸
I have always loved walking inside the language and story of someone else’s experience. Beyond knowing someone’s name, I want to know “whose your people?”; what brought you here?“; “what’s your passion?”
🩸
I have had the same phlebotomist at Park St Radiology two days in a row. Today she was wonderful — drawing 4 large culture bottles and 12 vials for complicated bloodwork orders.
🩸
She didn't panic, made a game plan, and ran the blood draws from both arms using butterfly mini iv's so she could fill 8 containers from each pull. BRILLIANT!
🩸
When I asked how long she had been working at Bronson her response floored me - only 4 years! And only 2 of those as a phlebotomist! She hired in as — wait for it — a transporter! Pushing gurneys through the hospital halls!
🩸
She talked about how much she loved the transportation work - being there for folks when they were all alone at the height of COVID and hospital lock downs. That work made her realize she wanted to do more, in a different capacity, to help people on their medical journeys.
🩸
Bronson supported her dreams and schooling 100% and I'm here to tell you she is ROCKING her passion! Poise, compassion, passion — Janice is a dynamo Bronson is lucky to have scored! Sorry I don’t have a last name for you but I’m sure you can find her at Park St Radiology working hard with a beautiful smile on her face!
