The Care Given to My Brother Was Beyond What I Could Have Asked For

My brother came into the emergency department (ED) with an acute injury. Everyone in the ED was fantastic. The communication and care was given to my brother was beyond what I could have asked for. He was later admitted to the extended medical care unit (EMCU).

Haven Wyngarden, RN, admitted my brother and was so kind and caring. I knew he was in good hands and I felt like I could leave him for the night.

Nurse Haven encouraged the care team to look more into the other issues that my brother was having, not just the acute injury that brought him to the hospital in the first place. Her care and vision to see the whole person my brother could be was exactly what we had been looking for for over a year. We have been seeing different providers trying to get help for various issues that my brother is having. We have been battling for over a year for what Haven was able to facilitate in a few days. I will be forever grateful to her and seeing my brother as someone who needed help.
